What is clonewars.info looking for in a reviewer?

We won’t beat around the bush — the ability to write is key. That doesn’t mean you have to be Shakespeare by any means, but it does mean you should be able to string coherent sentences together and post them onto the site free of spelling errors and the like. You will probably already know if you can write or not.

Is there a house writing style?

There is indeed. Have a look at any of our reviews and you’ll see that they’re all reasonably short and punchy. This is the Twitter generation, folks, and reviews don’t need to be the length of War and Peace to be valid. Indeed, limiting your wordcount can actually focus your writing and message and, rather than spending two paragraphs describing something, finding ways to say it in one sentence can be a joy.

But you’ve already reviewed all the Clone Wars stuff I know about!

Heh, that’s actually no problem. Why? Because we’re very, very keen to build-out each review page with MULTIPLE reviews so readers can get a better feel for the subject matter. So just because someone’s beaten you to the punch on a particular novel or comic or similar, doesn’t mean you can’t review it as well.

It’s pretty easy. Drop an email to the editor-in-chief (robirwin AT gmail.com) and use the subject line CLONEWARS.INFO.
